UPVC Replacement Door Handles
As time passes, the handles on your doors will wear out and will require replacement. When doing this it is important that the new handles conform to the dimensions of the handle that was previously used.
The top screw position, the lever and the keyhole sizes are the three measurements you have to check. Check the size guide for help with this.
Inline Lever/Lever
A lever handle is a modern-day door handle designed to work with new or replacement doors. This kind of door handle is available in a variety of styles and finishes. A number of manufacturers offer this handle, including Avocet ERA, Fullex, Hoppe, Mila, Millenco & Yale.
Fab and Fix Windsor Inline Sprung Lever Door Handle
The uPVC/Composite door handles are made of robust materials and are perfect for doors with multi-point locks which require a robust design. The handles are inline, and they utilize the same screws and spindle to secure them. They can be easily mounted on a new or existing uPVC/Composite doors.
The handle can be positioned and angled to fit any user. The handle has been tested to 200 000 cycles. This helps to ensure that the finish is of high quality and performance over time. The sprung lever can be reduced to accommodate a wider range of locks. This is particularly useful for doors with narrower frames, where the cylinder is further back. A lever that is shorter is a good choice for doors where the latch can be activated by the thumb turn located on the inside.
Lever Pad
A Lever Pad upvc door handle operates differently than lever handles found on most doors. These handle types are either operated by one spindle, or two spindles, either inline or offset. They are typically employed on UPVC double glazed doors and come in a variety of styles and finishes.
The handles have been tested to the minimum of 200 000 cycles and are available in various finishes like White, Silver, Chrome & Gold. The finish is BS EN 1670 Grade 5 and is resistant to corrosion. This gives the handle a high performance and durability for its intended purpose.

All UPVC handle lever pads come with a spindle, screws, and can be fitted on the uPVC door. The backplate fixing centers of 211mm allow for a larger handle, which is often a benefit in replacing a defective or worn multi point door lock mechanism. These handle levers are also spring-loaded, which solves the issue of door handles sagging out of their horizontal position when they are not being used.
It is important to match up the dimensions of the PZ for both the multipoint lock and the uPVC doors when choosing a replacement UPVC spindle and handle. This measurement may also be referred to as 'handle centres or cylinder centre'. It is important for matching the correct handles.
When you have the right PZ size, you'll have to ensure that the lever pads and push pads are in a suitable shape for the American with Disabilities Act (ADA) approved handles you require for your doors. These are usually square or round with an internal lever and an external push pad.
The majority of UPVC Lever Pads we offer are sprung. This means that they will return to a horizontal state when not being used, rather than hanging and possibly sticking in the frame. This helps prevent the draughts and cold air from getting into a house. Also, the majority of the UPVC lever pad handles are handed that allows you to put them on either side of the door.
Euro Cylinder
Cylinder locks are usually found on uPVC doors, but they can also be used on other types of door. They operate with a key to unlock a cylinder case which then reveals pins which can be aligned with those in the lock body and permitting them to turn an revolving cam, opening the door. Euro cylinders can be equipped with up to six pins, with both internal and external doors generally having different levels of security.
Choosing the right cylinder is crucial; it is dependent on the way your doors and handle are utilized. Doors that are external, for instance should be equipped with cylinders with greater security while doors inside can be secured using a standard cylinder. Additionally, certain cylinders have extra features that can improve security further, such as anti-drill and anti-bump characteristics.
A euro cylinder should be measured accurately to ensure that it is the right size for your door. The cylinder must be measured from the screw hole in the center to the ends of the cylinder. This includes the thumb turn, if there is one. If you are unable to measure with the lock in position, you can remove it. It is crucial to avoid having a cylinder that extends beyond the handle or escutcheon. This could make it susceptible to lock snapping attacks.
Most newer cylinders have been made with anti-drill and bump resistance features that are built into their design. These are designed to reduce attacks by forcing cylinders to turn in a different direction. This helps stop the attack and ensure your doors are secure.
Certain cylinders are made to resist snapping. This is a typical attack on cylinders. A special tool is used to break the break line of the lock and the front of the cylinder is snapped off. This is a much faster and simpler method to gain access than the use of a multipoint locking system. It also leaves no evidence of the break-in which can make it difficult to prove insurance claims.
cool training is located inside the base plate of your door handle. It provides a sprung solution to bring your multipoint lock handles back to their original position after usage. The handles were previously equipped with no spring, and would slide when the locking mechanism was removed. This simple component is the best solution to solve this issue. It also helps prevent your door from getting stuck in the closed or open position, as they aren't easy to close manually.
